ENTER TO WIN A CHANCE TO MEET THE GODFATHER OF NERDCORE HIP HOP MC FRONTALOT
MC Frontalot is challenging you to enter the NERDCORE RISING SONG FIGHT. In keeping with the nerdcore spirit, MC Frontalot has chosen the SONG FIGHT title “Feature Creep” and contestants will write a brand new song inspired by the title and the internet-at-large is invited to vote for their favorite song.
HOW TO ENTER
1. Go to NerdcoreRisingMovie.com and Register.
Simply click here to sign-up and get your username and password
2. Write your Nerdcore Rising song based on the title "Feature Creep".
Songs can be in any style you want, just as long as they don't use anybody's copyrighted material.
3. Record your Song
You can get as fancy or as simple as you want- either on your multi-track or webcam works. Submissions can be both audio and/or video. Click here for a list of accepted format types and specifications.
4. Upload your song here
Once you have recorded your song, return to NerdcoreRisingMovie.com and log in using your username and password, and follow the upload instructions.
5. Vote and Win!
Once you have uploaded your song, you will receive an email with a link to your song on the site. Share that link with as many people as you can to get people to vote for your Nerdcore Rising song. All you need to vote is an email address or Twitter account, so anyone can vote. Simply click the Tweet or Email button next to entry to propel your song to Nerdcore immortality!
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
The contest is sponsored and conducted by B-Side Entertainment, Inc. ("Company"), whose address is 327 Congress Avenue, Suite 650, Austin, TX 78701. Contestants from the 48 contiguous states in the United States where the contest is legal may participate.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win, but for a contestant to win some prizes the contestant must submit an entry to SONG FIGHT.
There are three categories for the Prizes.
Grand Prize Category: NERDCORE RISING SONG FIGHT
The participant who provides a recorded song using the title "Feature Creep", uploads video/audio to the NERDCORE RISING SONG FIGHT ("Entry") page and receives the most votes through Twitter and Email will win the Grand Prize. The host is providing a right and license for Company to use the uploaded audio/video contained in the Entry on Company's websites and websites related to the film.
Grand Prize: Flight, accommodations, tickets to an MC FRONTALOT music performance in the continental United States.
2nd Category: HONORABLE MENTION SONG FIGHT
The Entry with the 2nd most Twitter and Email votes will win the Honorable Mention prize.
Honorable Mention: A Nerdcore Swag-Pack that will include a pair of MC Frontalot Glasses, a T'Shirt, MC Frontalot CD Set, and a Nerdcore Rising signed DVD.
Additional Rules:
No covers of songs which contestants do not have rights are allowed.
The odds of winning depend upon the total number of contestants.
Entries will be accepted until October 15, 2009 at 5 PM EDT.
Selection and prize determinations will occur on within 7 days of the close of the contest, currently scheduled for October 31, 2009 at approximately 11 AM at Company's offices or via communication mechanism where the judges can agree on the winners for the Additional Categories.
Winners will be notified 24 hours after the winners are determined.
The prize winners' names and address will be available at Company's offices immediately following awarding of the prize. The name of the winners will be posted on nerdcorerisingthemovie.com after the contest.
Open only to persons who are 18 years old or older at the time of entry. Company is not responsible for entries that are lost, misdirected, mutilated or illegible. If Company is unable to locate a prize winner within 2 days of the end of the contest, Company may select a new prize winner and the previous winner will forfeit their prize.
The contest is not valid where it could contravene local or state laws, and all local and state laws and regulations apply. The winner, unless he or she is a resident of Tennessee, will be required to execute any required Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability/Prize Acceptance form upon picking up his or her prize. Such affidavit will allow Company to use the winner’s name, likeness in future advertising.
Employees of Company or NERDCORE RISING, their affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each, are not eligible.
By participation in this contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
